The Accommodations

Located in a Federalist-style building just off Crawford Square in Savannah’s sought-after historic district, freshly remodeled Crawford Coastal creates a comfortable coastal vibe, greeting you with welcoming shades of blue, white, grey and seafoam green. The open floorplan creates a positive sense of space.

Coastal décor hits just the right note. A plush living room couch with soft throw pillows faces the new wall-mounted smart TV. Botanical prints provide pops of green, while attractive built-ins feature books and decorative glassware. Room-spanning cabinets act as wainscoting, with an overhead fan maintaining comfort.

An all-new kitchen features full-size stainless-steel appliances, including a French door fridge/icemaker, smart range/oven, microwave and dishwasher. Stylish glass tiles highlight the feature backsplash, while a coffee maker claims pride of place on generous quartz countertops. Custom cupboards and drawers include all the cookware, culinary tools, utensils, tableware, and glasses you’ll need – simply contribute your own fresh ingredients of choice! An appealing island provides bar-height seating for four.

The private master suite and bath await in fresh blues and whites, creating a relaxing, inviting atmosphere, while a new king-sized bed and Saatva mattress invites you to enjoy an exceptional and quiet night’s sleep.

Windows, lamps, plantation shutters and controlled lighting wash Crawford Coastal with ample ambient light, enabling you to ease yourself toward sleep, with overhead fans adding comfort and area rugs putting softness at your feet.

An elegant granite-topped vanity and large, glass-doored shower ensures a bathroom with everything you’ll need, including an ample supply of fresh, soft towels, soaps, bath tissue and haircare products – like at all Southern Belle vacation rentals. You’re set for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

There’s even a washer and dryer, enabling you to wash and refresh your wardrobe – so pack light! Your Savannah Itinerary

Historic Savannah is just around the corner when you stay at Crawford Coastal. Centrally located as one the district’s 22 squares, Crawford dates to 1841. It is named after William Harris Crawford, who acted as Secretary of the Treasury in the early 19th century.

Crawford Square is small in area compared to other squares, but it is distinctive in a number of ways. It is the only square still bordered with a fence, although all were fenced in the distant past. It boasts a lovely gazebo perfect for picnicking and live music events. It also has a basketball court and a children’s playground. It’s a great destination for a stroll around the neighborhood, a bit of recreation or some relaxing alone time.

On an interesting historical note, Crawford Square was the only integrated place where African Americans were welcome during the South’s Jim Crow era. It also retains a cistern, which hearkens back to firefighting’s early days. All the 22 town squares once had one, but only Crawford’s remains.

Crawford Coastal is a comfortable walk from Colonial Park Cemetery, which has been a city park since the late 1890s. At that point, no new burials had occurred in the cemetery for several decades. For that reason, it does not include any Confederate soldiers, but has around 700 victims of the yellow fever outbreak of the 1820s.

Colonial Park Cemetery is an important stop on several Savannah ghost tours. If you like a good scare, consider signing up. You’ll learn more about the haunted history of the place.

Cha Bella, on Broughton St., specializes in farm-to-table dishes. Collins Quarter at 151 Bull St. serves up a popular brunch and dinner menu.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets
If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Overall

The condo is centrally located in Savannah and a short drive to other areas. We easily walked everywhere! From the river, to the historic district, to shopping and to explore Forsyth Park. Lots of local restaurants are close and there is a fully stocked kitchen with full size appliances if you prefer to cook. The condo was super clean, well decorated, nicely appointed, roomy and also had a very comfy king size bed. Private bathroom and a large open living area with table and kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Savannah and I highly recommend Crawford Coastal!

We loved our stay at the Crawford Coastal Garden apartment! Ideally located in the historic district and within walking distance to many of the shops, restaurants and historic sites. The apartment is charming and quaint and the appointments and amenities are top notch. Very clean and well stocked, the perfect place for a weekend get away. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit! Thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful space!

The place was extremely well done with high quality materials in all areas. From the kitchen to the bathroom along with the linens this was exactly the type of place we enjoy. We are very quite and clean people and can only hope others take care of such a nice place as we will be back..
