The Home

Hunter’s Knoll is a garden-level apartment with its own private outdoor seating area just off the master suite. Simply step through the sliding glass door into the open air with your morning java and listen to the city awaken. A lovely wrought-iron bistro table for two provides the perfect setting.

The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, all made up and ready for restful nights. Modern furnishings, rich wood flooring and generous windows surround you with luxury and light, while a chic barn door slides open to reveal the adjoining full bathroom. You’ll love the roomy glass-enclosed shower and the wealth of counter space. Plus, a supply of plush towels makes you feel pampered.

Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and keep your cook company while preparing a meal. It’s a great perch for a midday snack or light supper too. The fully stocked kitchen features a French door refrigerator/freezer, range/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Inside the cupboards, you’ll find dishes, glasses and cookware while the drawers hold flatware and utensils.

You also have a table and chairs nearby in the dining room for a sit-down dinner, whether home-cooked or takeout from one of Savannah’s eclectic restaurants. When it’s time to do a load of laundry, the washer and dryer neatly tucked within the closet are ready for your use.

The spacious living room, just steps away in this roomy open floorplan, offers plenty of comfy seating and a flat screen television for the occasional evening in. Just below the TV, a decorative fireplace adds a touch of vintage elan. A wall of windows and a breezy ceiling fan help make the living space airy and bright.

Recommendations for a Great Vacation

You and your travel companions have tons of activities to choose from during your Savannah stay. The city’s historic district encompasses over 100 restaurants, 22 historic town squares, the 30-acre Forsyth Park and a beautiful, bustling riverfront.

Take a stroll through the park, which is just a few minutes’ walk from Hunter’s Knoll Garden. The centerpiece of Forsyth is its exquisite, 150-year-old fountain. Located at the north end of the park, the fountain is a popular place for photo ops, impromptu weddings and cooling off. If it’s a Saturday, take some time to wander through the weekly, year-round Farmers’ Market where you’ll find everything from sumptuous pastries to fresh produce.

See more of the city sights by boarding the free Dot Express shuttle, courtesy of Savannah Mobility Management. It runs every 10 minutes, seven days per week. It stops for boarding and debarking at each of the district’s 22 squares. Not only is this the easiest way to navigate unfamiliar territory, but it’s also ideal for meeting others staying in Savannah vacation homes.

Some of the stops you might want to make include City Market, which has been open for business since the 18th century. It’s the perfect place to find local art and jewelry, unique souvenirs and more. Award-winning restaurants, outdoor seating and live music all await.

Hop back aboard the Dot Express for a ride to River Street. Walk along the foot path and watch the big ships come into port, or take a ferry ride to get a different perspective. At meal time, you’ll have 21 area restaurants to choose from.

The Factor’s Walk, just above on the bluffs, offers another view of area history. The 19th-century brick warehouses, which once stored raw cotton, have been repurposed into galleries, boutiques and eateries. While you are there, check out the recently excavated vaults carved into the wall. Although historians once believed these structures, known as the Clusky Vaults, were slave quarters, many of the unearthed relics indicate that Civil War soldiers once sheltered there.

Southern Belle Pool

Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.
