Spanish Moss Inn is a home with a fascinating history. Originally built in a different location on the corner of Jefferson and Hull in 1808, the home was relocated to its current location at Bay and Price in 1968. History: The Dunlap-Eppinger house was originally built on the corner of Jefferson and Hull St in 1808, and later relocated to its current location at Bay and Price St in 1968 by Mills B Lane Jr. This Federal-era home was lovingly restored to preserve the special historic features while updating the property with modern creature comforts that guests will enjoy today. Fun fact! You an actually see some of the numbers etched into the exposed beams in the property which helped the architects with placement when they were putting the house back together after the relocation.

Southern Belle Pool

Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Four couples rented the house for three days during my son's wedding and we loved it. The location was perfect and it allowed us to walk to the rehearsal dinner and wedding. The five bedrooms are equal sizes and complete. We loved the history of the house and since it's 200 years old, it's a little creaky, but that's part of the fun.

A Savannah Dream! If you love Savannah & want the perfect location for a family/friend gathering you just found it! Everything was just as described and even better in person! Just a reminder though - I knew it was 5 bedrooms and could not find but three but there is a special door that takes you to the other 2 amazing bedrooms!! It really is a funny joke now! We did have an issue with some devices in one room of the home but it was taken care of immediately. VERY QUICK response time in communicating back and forth with me. I promise you won't be disappointed with your stay! Lots of good "front porch sitting" !

WOW! The location alone was perfect. We could walk easily to many restaurants and to the riverfront. We could stand on the front porch of the home and watch the huge freighters go by on the River. The Spanish Moss Inn was perfectly furnished. Beds were all comfortable and beautiful. All five bedrooms were roomy each had a bathroom attached or close. Walking distance to Leopolds Ice Cream and The Pirate House Restaurant. I’ve rented a home to take the family on vacation for the last ten years and this home is by far my favorite!

I recently stayed here with 6 friends. It was absolutly beautiful. Great location, clean, convenient and the most comfy beds! We loved the back patio and sitting around in the large living room. I would highly recommend and I would definately stay again. Communication was also great. Any questions I had were answered quickly.

Our party of 8 had plenty of room to spread out. The 2 grandkids were thrilled to have not only their own bed—but their own room! Right on the Main Street thru town so easy access to stores & restaurants. Close to many historical buildings within walking distance, or to hop on to the trolleys. Highly recommend this property for 8-10 people. With 5 full bathrooms, everyone could get ready for the day without waiting for a shower. Beautiful furnishings & very comfortable beds. Very well done! Plus, the host continually checked with us on how the stay was going & if we needed anything. Great service & timely response.

We were in Savannah for girls trip. There were 9 of us and the home at 425 E Bay St was beautiful and large. I would recommend for any large group. Location was convenient to River St and the historic District. We walked to the Olde Pink House and many of our tours. Savannah is gorgeous. Can't wait to return.

Fabulous location! Love having a two car garage! Plenty of room to relax. Best stocked kitchen in any VRBO. We were literally amazed at how much stuff was there to use in the kitchen. Everyone loved having their own bathrooms and king size bed. And the best part was the back yard court yard with a gas fire pit. Lots and lots of laughs back there. Would highly recommend!

I am having a very hard time thinking of the words to accurately describe how amazing this house is. You will be hard-pressed to find another place that will give you the old Savannah charm and character like this place does. Each bedroom has a king bed and are very well decorated and spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked and we very much enjoyed cooking our meals here. But perhaps the best part about this place is the location! You can get anywhere you need to go pretty much on foot. The only time we used our car was to go to Tybee Island. And because it’s located right on Bay Street, one of our favorite parts of the trip was to enjoy a beverage of choice and sit on the front porch and just take in all the sights and sounds of Savannah! Can’t wait to come back!.
