This gorgeous apartment faces the famous Monterey Square, which fans of the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil book and movie will immediately recognize. It offers two bedrooms, one bathroom and just over 800 square feet of space. It can accommodate up to four guests and features a number of great amenities. Our entire selection of Savannah vacation rentals offer standard amenities like wireless internet, TVs throughout, stocked necessities and the like. This one features new appliances, a courtyard, two king beds and was recently remodeled.

The courtyard is possibly the most stunning feature of this property. It offers comfy wicker seating, lush greenery, a charming old fountain, and cobblestone and brick accents. What a beautiful place to enjoy Savannah mornings, or evenings! The main living room has a classically elegant appearance with a color scheme of black and white. Plush seating abounds, and track lighting lends ample brightness. Adjacent is the full kitchen with everything you need to make great meals. A stacked washer and dryer gives added convenience for longer stays. The bedrooms continue the black and white decor and offer exceptional space, plus extras like seating and a huge flatscreen TV. One of the bedrooms even offers covered patio access. The full bathroom is very roomy and bright and includes a spacious standing shower.

Walk To Forsyth Park

One of the best things about our Savannah vacation homes is the great locations that put you right in the middle of historic neighborhoods. With this property, you'll be facing Monterey Square, and you'll also only be a short distance from the Mercer-Williams House. The location gets even better when you realize that it's only one major street up from Forsyth Park. Some of the most desirable vacation rentals Savannah GA have locations near Forsyth Park. You can easily spend half the day exploring this storied part of historic Savannah. Also nearby are Calhoun Square, Chatham Square, the Massie Heritage Center and the Georgia Historical Society. Getting around Savannah is easiest to do on foot with a good map. The north end of the city holds River Street, the Colonial Park Cemetery and Broughton Street, which is famous for its shopping opportunities. If you're looking for the famous Bird Girl statue on the cover of the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, you'll find it in the Jepsen Center for the Arts.

Just Outside Savannah

When you want even more interesting things to do near our Savannah vacation homes, venturing just outside Savannah can meet that need. Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Under the Red Door was ideal for our purposes. Perfect location in the heart of Savannah's historic district. Just outside the door, beautiful Monterey Square. A block away, the gorgeous Forsyth Park. The unit is beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The king-sized beds are very comfortable, and the pillow game is ON! I've never been so happy with the pillows in a rental. :-) Jen and her staff were very welcoming and responsive. I couldn't find one minor kitchen item that was listed on the website, and Jen had a new one dropped off -- talk about above and beyond!

The house was wonderful. It is placed in a lovely square right near Forsyth Park. We could walk right out into the Saturday Farmer's Market. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was tranquil. I loved my stay here.

Our stay was amazing. The property was clean and welcoming and super convenient to all sites within walking distance. Parking spots were always available outside the door. We spent most of our time on Tybee and when we returned it was typically after 5 so parking was free until 8am. If you plan on staying in Savannah I recommend purchasing a parking pass at the garage so you can park anywhere in Savannah. We weren’t able to use the back courtyard due to rain in the evenings. The pool was clean and very enjoyable before and after the beach. Definitely will rent again next year with Southern Belle.

My friend from early childhood and I decided to do an adventure together in Savannah. We were just thrilled to find the perfect, reasonably priced accommodation for our stay. We didn’t use the living room but had we stayed longer maybe would have. Beds were so comfortable and the washer and dryer came in handy. Shower was great. We enjoyed a few hours respite in the private courtyard. Can’t beat the location…

We just spent an amazing week in Savannah, calling this our “home” for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Everything was wonderful! The beds were very clean and comfortable and the space was perfect for our busy days enjoying Savannah and the neighboring islands. We took our coffee over to Monterey Square every morning and watched the locals, tourists, and puppies in the park. It was beautiful. Well within walking distance to all the shops and the river. Parking was much easier here than closer to the river so it was great not to deal with that! We loved the courtyard for some quiet outside time. Everything was wonderful- I would definitely stay here again!

First of all: the location. I travel to Savannah regularly and have stayed in many locations throughout the historic district, but this one is the best. Centrally located on a beautiful street overlooking Monterrey Square, we didn't move our car all weekend. The layout of the space is “interesting, the ceilings are a bit low, but they've done a great job of making it feel light and bright. The back courtyard is a wonderful and peaceful place for morning coffee or cocktails. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is perfect for enjoying many of the best sites of Savannah. The location is an easy walk for site seeing, museum tours, local pubs, restaurants and unique shops. The patio is amazing! A wonderful, unexpected oasis for relaxing. The interior lacks nothing. The beds are very comfortable and I appreciated the numerous amount of towels supplied. I love this property and will definitely stay here again and again:)

My girlfriends and I (aka... golden girls) were absolutely delighted with this rental! Our host went above and beyond to take care of us. Under the Red door is adorable and fully stocked with southern hospitality. The ease of getting around Savannon, on foot, from this location was a huge bonus! We will definitely be returning.

My fourth trip to Savannah and this was by far the best rental I have found. Great location, very clean, the courtyard out back was beautiful and such a great little spot to hang out, and the rental stocked with everything you need. There was some noise from the upstairs rental, but luckily there was only someone there the first night (and in an old house, that is to be expected). Also, the beds and pillows were the most comfortable I've probably ever slept on. Again, the location was just perfect! Nothing better than staying right on one of the squares! I would definitely rent again.

This place was perfect in so ways ways. It looked just like the pictures and met all of our needs. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated all the dishes and glasses, so we only had to run the dishwasher on our last morning. The unit was close to restaurants, shopping and museums. We were able to find a parking spot right outside the door and utilized the Savannah Parking app to keep track of the parking meter. We never had an issue with noise from the upstairs neighbor (maybe because our stay was during the week). We want to return to Savannah and would definitely stay here again.

The location of this residence could not be better and the amenities were outstanding. Beds were super comfortable, we could walk to shopping and restaurants and Forsyth Park was a block away. I loved the lush landscaping greeting you at the front door and the courtyard in back with its privacy, blooming flowers, and water fountain.All my faves. Everything was clean and what you need. The designer decor was perfect! Luxury linens throughout. My eyes,soul,and mind were completely fulfilled.

The property was beautiful but if you stay in the back bedroom you will be woken up by the owners above in their kitchen. They do not take off their shoes and were so loud starting at 7am.
