It’s already time for the last hurrah of summer with Labor Day just around the corner. That means booking a Tybee Island stay for Labor Day Beach Bash 2024.

The fun starts on Aug. 30 and continues through Sept. 2 with live music at the Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion. The Swinging Medallions take the stage at 7:30 on Aug. 30; followed by the On the Border Eagles Tribute Band on Aug. 31 and Terrance Simien, the Zydeco Experience on Sept. 1. The Labor Day Beach Bash includes a new drone show on Sunday night, so don't miss that.

Enjoy Tybee Island beaches spending your days lounging on the sand or splashing in the Atlantic Ocean or Back River. The island has five beaches: North Beach, Mid Beach, South Beach, Back River Beach, and Little Tybee Island (only accessible by boat, kayak, or Jet ski).

Of course, you’ll want to get some great, local food. Tybee Island has more than 30 restaurants with varied menus to please every member of your crew. Satisfy your Labor Day foodie cravings at one of our casual restaurants.  You’ll find fresh, local seafood, but there are also plenty of places serving juicy burgers, piping-hot pizzas, and ice cream to top it all off.

As for attractions, the island has plenty. On North Beach, the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum invites visitors to climb up and take in the view as well as stroll through the museum exhibits to learn the island’s history. Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for children 6-17; and free for children 5 and under.

Learn about life under the sea at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center. Check out the Coastal Galleries with live animal exhibits, interactive stations, life-size animal replicas, the Fossil Room, a pirate ship playground, and more. The center is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $12 per person, kids four and under are free. The non-profit invites guests to come and learn with exhibits and events.

Get out on the water with a dolphin tour, fishing charter, or sunset cruise. Enjoy exploring the island by water and be on the lookout for local wildlife.

Book accommodations to enjoy Labor Day fun and say goodbye to summer in an island paradise.
