With a lively nightlife, Savannah is an exciting city to explore after dark. The city’s nightlife will charm you, whether you enjoy sports bars, dance clubs or a hole-in-the-wall tavern. The city’s to-go cup policy allows visitors to bar hop all night, experiencing all the late-night establishments have to offer.
Jen's & Friends
Start your evening at Jen’s & Friends, 34 Bull St., a charming bar with more than 300 flavors of martinis, from S’mores to Mango to Bourbon Pecan Pie to Blackberry Lemon Drop to Klondike Bar. They even serve a Birthday Cake-flavored martini. Prefer beer? No problem. They offer more than 200 brews.
Original Pinkie Masters
The Original Pinkie Masters, 318 Drayton St., is the quintessential Savannah bar. It’s retro, friendly and fun, with a diverse clientele. You’ll feel like a “regular” right away at this cozy dive bar in the historic district. Put some music on the jukebox and have a PBR for $3. But be sure to bring cash. Pinkie Masters doesn’t accept credit cards.
Wet Willie's
Step off River Street into Wet Willie’s and choose from the rainbow-colored collection of frozen drinks. You can even make your own combination. Their Attitude Improvement, for example, has a tangy orange taste complemented by 190 proof grain alcohol and rum. Combine it with the Piña Colada-flavor for a Dreamsicle.
Jazz'd Tapas Bar
Listen to live music at Jazz’d Tapas Bar, with an eclectic lineup starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, and at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. While soaking in the tunes, sip on one of their craft cocktails like their El Diablo with tequila, Marie Brizard cassis, fresh lime juice and ginger beer, or a refreshing Mango Mojita. Like Jen & Friends, they offer a variety of flavored martinis.
Club 51 Degrees
Hit the dance floor at Club 51 Degrees, 121 W. Congress St., with DJs spinning tunes on three levels, each with it’s own vibe. Get there early to avoid a line. Or head over to Club One, 1 Jefferson St., made famous as the home of Lady Chablis’ drag show. It has since gained a reputation as a top party and dance venue in Savannah.
Savannah Sports Bars
There are plenty of spots in the Historic District where sports lovers can catch a game. Grab a seat at Savannah Taphouse, PS Tavern or The Savannah Distillery Ale House. Savannah offers above-average sports bars with cold drinks, lots of TVs and interactive games.
Whether you’re adventurous or a slow sipper, Savannah has a booming nightlife scene to explore on your next vacation. Be sure to book a vacation rental in the Historic District to be close to the action
