About Wiley’s Championship BBQ
Wiley McCrary began his career in the food industry as a barbecue caterer and competitor during 1983. He started catering in Atlanta and in 2005, Wiley and his wife Janet, moved to Savannah and started a new food business called Savannah BBQ & Catering. Later, the company became a restaurant named Wiley’s Championship BBQ, which opened its doors on September 12, 2008.
In 2009 and 2010, the restaurant won the honor of “Best of the Best Barbecue Restaurants” from Savannah Magazine. For 2010 and 2011, Connect Savannah Magazine listed the barbeque establishment in its “Best BBQ” category.
